WAC announces Hugo Merino Ferraz as Country Reporter for Portugal

Hugo Merino Ferraz - Portugal

Since January 31, 2017

Hugo Merino Ferraz has been appointed as Portugal's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Hugo always traces new commissions and built projects that are not explored by the mainstream media yet. Ferraz, specifically, focuses on hunting new young architecture offices and their projects to highlight contemporary Portuguese architecture.

"I applied to be a Reporter of WAC, because I’m passionate about architecture and want to contribute to spread Portuguese architecture around the world. I want to be the voice of Portuguese architects in one of the biggest platforms and communities of architecture," told Ferraz World Architecture Community.

He is good at reporting some small-scaled architecture exhibitions by focusing on its historicity. Hugo produces fast-paced news and follows clarity in his writings with result-oriented approach. Hugo's most popular article Portuguese Office Awarded In The RIBA International Fellows 2017 has reached over 4,333 views at the time of this article.

Hugo Henrique Ferraz Merino born in Tomar, lives and works in the municipality of Lisbon. He studied Architecture at Lusíada University of Lisbon where he graduated in 2005. Since 2006, he works in architecture, studies and construction projects in several offices in Lisbon and continue to form partnerships in architecture work, national and international contests, developing architectural solutions in different phases of projectual evolution.

"Submitting our articles is very practical, efficient and intuitive with a flexible framework of WAC. I don't have any rule to read some specific countries here. I read all that interest me, independent the country or architect," he added.

You can follow Hugo on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

If you also want to be part of our volunteer reporters and become "the voice of your country on WAC while being the face of WAC in your country", please send your motivation message and your CV to info@worldarchitecture.org
