Zaha Hadid Architects wins Japan National Stadium Competition
The International Competition for Japan National Stadium resulted. The project designed by world-famous architecture firm Zaha Hadid Architects, was chosen as the winner of the competition.
After a long process of evaluation, the jury reduced the numbers of the contributors attending to 11. The list of the final competitors was announced at the end of the October. The 11 projects competed for the final evaluation are as follows:

Ltd. * Toyo Ito Associates * SANAA, Nikken Sekkei * gmp International GmbH * Mitsuri Man Senda and Enviroment Design Institute
After two weeks final evaluation process, the jury leaded by famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando came to a decision and Zaha Hadid Architects was announced as the winner of the international competition.
Japan National Stadium will have 80.000 audience capacity and the construction process of the project will be concluded by the year 2018. The stadium is planned to be ready for 2020 Olympic Games.
