This is a 2nd prize winner in the local first fase of the Iberic Competition PLADUR. THE AIM WAS TO PRODUCE SUSTAINABLE HOUSING WHICH COULD BE ADDAPTED TO 3 DIFFERENT INHABITANT GROUPS. A family with two children, 3 students or an elderly coupld who could receive visits.

The plot was free for choice. I chose the local river, Mondego, and TRIED TO CREATE AN OBJRCT WHICH WOULD HELP ORGANIZING THE RATHER MARGINAL ALLEYS ALONG THE RIVER IN BOTH SIDES. And which could contain either HOUSING or public programs, LIBRARIES, OFFICES, RESTAURANTS, BOOK STORES, etc.

The strenght of this very simple building lives from the STRONG RELATION WITH THE WATER and to the THE VIEWS TO THE ENDS OF THE RIVER.

THE BUILDING STANDS OVER THE WATER, APPARENTLY FLOATING ONCE STRUCTURE IS NOT SHOWN. ITS SLIGHTLY DETACHED FROM THE RIVER WALL AND IT GRABS THE END OF ITS STRUCTURE TO IT.

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION WAS TO USE THE COMPANIES PRODUCT, AND I TRIED TO SOLV THE BUILDINGS CONSTRUCTION IN A WAY IT MAY COME TO THE SITE PRE FABRICATED OR USED REPLACED IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION WITH EASE.
