Since the dawn of Modernism, machine has been taking man’s role in almost all of his life’s aspect, that is entirely changing the way he live, eventually expanding the scale of urban fabric. Therefore, only specific social activities can happen in an also specific place, mainly an enclosed built environment with all the effort to make it comfortable enough. Jakarta is one of the metropolitan cities that is undergoing the expansion of urban fabric’s scale, indicated by the presence of its supergrid’s branching. An intervention is therefore needed to unify Jakarta’s urban fabric. An approach to social behavior was then implemented, by paying special attention to all spectrum of existing and latent daily activities, and also to the threshold of human’s sense and scale in urban space. The result painted the picture that an urban fabric’s component, however small, should be suggestive instead of imposing, and have a sense of flexibility, so that the user will have a great deal of possibilities in using the space in the hope of healing the urban area’s vitality.
