Building the line of public electric transport (the line high-speed tram) is intended to connect the most densely populated area of Odessa to the central part of a city. On the geographical position the inhabited area of Kotovsk is separated from the basic part of a city by an isthmus dividing Black sea and Kujalnitsky estuary that has complicated the transport message with the central part. In rush hours the road from settlement Kotovsk to city centre occupies 1,5-2 hours while by a high-speed tram this way can be overcome for 15-20 minutes. During the summer period, the transport problem becomes more severe. That is because on the territory of Kotovsk there is a large zone of rest where hydro park Luzanovka is located.
Throughout the road, there are 8 landing stations: 6 from them on land, connected by an overpass monorail, and 2 underground. At each station there is a parking area that makes various choices of transport possible. The stations do not only contain landing platforms, but also objects of a commercial infrastructure, which provide profitability of the project. Presence of elevated transitions promote accessibility for all passengers. Project realization will allow to remove the heavy traffic load from all types of transports in that area.
