The phenomenon of metropolization has not alone been a result from the processes that occurred in partially developed  regions. It happened everywhere, with obviously its own regional features and time event. The genesis of Brazilian metropolization dates back to events that were blended with the urbanization right from the outset. Thus, prior to analyzing the process of metropolization itself, it is essential to locate this interpretation on the general context of Brazil’s urbanization origin.
