Italian travel sketches by P.J. Hamers

Among the most interesting architecture archives are those thatreveal the personality of the architect. One such archive is that ofarchitect Philippus Jacob {Flip} Hamers {1882-1966}. Recently hischildren presented a number of unique items to the NAI: a compass,splendid drawings and photographs. These acquisitions reflect thepersonal character of Hamers`s archive, which also contains letters tovarious architects, self-portraits, patent applications for inventions,and wonderful travel sketches.
