The Chen House is pretty awesome. It was built on an old japanese cherry farm in the Datun mountains of North-Taiwan by two guys -Marco Casagrande and Frank Chen. It was designed and constructed to parallel nature rather than resist it. It is lifted to allow flood water from the nearby river to flow beneath it and the overall frame is typhoon/earthquake resistant.
