BOMB Magazine will honor Steven Holl at its 36th Anniversary Gala- Steven Holl will be the first architect to be honored in the annual event. BOMB Magazine has been publishing conversations between artists of all disciplines since 1981. BOMB's founders—New York City based artists and writers created BOMB because they saw a disparity between the way artists talked about their work among themselves and the way critics described it.

Holl will be joined by fellow honorees Ed Ruscha, and Paula Cooper and Jack Macrae. BOMB’s Gala draws artists, literati, philanthropists, and collectors together in celebrating its honorees and BOMB’s invaluable contribution to the world of arts and letters. 

The evening includes live and silent auctions of artworks by renowned artists, a seated dinner, toasts to the honorees and a party deep into the night. 

''The logically unbridgeable gap between concepts and ideas and the world of sense perception is bridged by great works of art. I am deeply grateful to be honored by BOMB - an inspiring bridge connecting amazing artists' ideas,'' said Steven Holl.
