New Architects 3:A decade of new British talent

The Architecture Foundation is seeking applications for inclusion in a major publication surveying the best British architectural practices established in the past ten years.The book, which is the third in a highly influential series, will feature close to 100 practices, working across architecture, urban design, public space and related areas.The 320-page hardback book is being published by Merrell and will be sold in bookshops around the world.  The selection of firms will be made by an expert jury comprising some of Britain’s most prominent architecture critics. 

Submission Criteria

AF is seeking submissions from a wide range of practices of different sizes and backgrounds.To submit your practice for consideration you must meet the following criteria.

-Be a member of The Architecture Foundation. 
This can be a practice membership or an individual membership in the case of practices with under three staff.

-Have started the practice after the 1st of January 2005.
We consider the start of a practice to be when the individuals involved began working together on their first project even if a formal company was not founded until later.

-Have completed at least one built project.
The jury will consider the total output of the practice including unbuilt competition entries, research projects, exhibitions and other non-building work but the practice must have completed at least one built project at any scale to be considered for publication in New Architects 3.

Be based in the UK.
The practice may have worked anywhere in the world but must be based in the UK to be eligible for publication.

Please note:Practices do not necessarily need to be ARB or RIBA registered to be eligible for entry.

Jury:A jury of experienced architecture critics will judge the submissions and decide which practices will go forward for publication.The Jury consists of:

Deadline:The deadline for submissions is Wednesday the 10th of June 2015.
