Liu Xiaodu and Lisa Iwamoto to join Alvar Aalto Symposium lineup

13th International Alvar Aalto Symposium

7-8 August 2015 Jyvaskyla, Finland

The final additions to the symposium lineup include Urbanus architect Liu Xiaodu and the digital fabrication expert, architect Lisa Iwamoto.

Liu Xiaodu is one of the three founding partners of the Chinese architecture office Urbanus. Creativity plays an important part in their architecture. More than a design practice, Urbanus is also a think tank. Office focuses on urban realities in China and seeks architectural solutions based on its research of the emerging urban problems. Lisa Iwamoto is the principal of an award winning IwamotoScott Architecture, a practice formed together with Craig Scott. From art installations to interiors to buildings to visionary cities, IwamotoScott rethinks the constraints of the everyday to make something synthetic, functional and unique.
